Abstract
Russell M. Detweiler (1926-2011) was pastor of Rockhill Mennonite Church from 1979 to 1989 and prior to that served as a Sunday School teacher, council member and elder in this congregation where he grew up. His parents were Norman A. (1902-1971) and Sallie Moyer Detweiler (1902-1985) of West Rockhill Township, Bucks County. In addition to his ministry at Rockhill Church, Russell preached and taught Sunday School at Rockhill Mennonite (Retirement) Community and on the radio program Sunday School Meditations. From 1989 to 1993, he served as interim pastoral assistant at Franconia Mennonite Church, from 1993 to 1995 at Towamencin Mennonite Church, 1995-2003 at Eden Mennonite Church, and 2004-2005 again at Towamencin. This collection includes sermon texts and outlines, topical files and other minister's records, as well as several audio recordings from the Rockhill congregation, 1961-1995.
